Nutritional healing may sound strange if you’re new to the concept, but it is actually something your body does already on a daily basis. The human body is constantly repairing, detoxing, and regenerating.
Dr. Forrest C. Shaklee (1894-1985) was a researcher and pioneer in the area of natural nutrition science way back in the early 1900s. He believed that when we give our bodies the nutrients they need, they have amazing power to heal themselves. He not only believed this but practiced it with great success throughout his lifetime.
Our bodies are these wonderful healing machines! The idea of nutritional healing is simply helping the body do what it was designed to do.
Brian and I have applied this concept with our kids ever since they were born, and it has kept our kids off of prescription meds and antibiotics the entire time.
It’s not that our kids have not come down with the occasional cold or flu bug (usually only once/year), but when they do, it lasts only a day or two because we are using nutrients/vitamins to help their immune systems fight it quickly.
We have used natural nutrition to heal infections, parasites, headaches, tummy aches, and runny noses, just to name a few. (And we have even used it successfully with our dog too.)
All medications come with side effects–seen or unseen. That is a fact. Wouldn’t it be great to use something natural with your kids that only came with “side benefits”?
If you are looking for a safe, healthy, alternative that will really help your child’s body heal, then it would be worth taking a closer look at nutritional supplementation and diet changes.
